ACESSA PROCEDURE

Acessa is a minimally invasive treatment for fibroids–an alternative to hysterectomy that preserves the patient’s uterus. Looking at competitive fibroid treatments, we realized that no-one was speaking to the whole woman, nor acknowledging both the physical and emotional components of hysterectomy.

OB/GYNs tend to recommend the treatments they know, so to drive demand we also needed to educate potential patients to this option that wasn’t simply continue suffering or lose her uterus. 

We built a new brand positioning and messaging platform, then created a direct-to-patient integrated campaign called “A women’s story.” The warm, illustrated style and relatable copy made women feel seen and understood. We also created a physician directed campaign extension.

The campaign was a win for Acessa, and women enduring fibroids: We saw a 300% increase in patient pipeline volume during three months of the live campaign. One market saw a 900% increase in procedures! And our booth at the ACOG Medical Meeting had the best engagement to date.
